Lines: 26 I recently posted asking for help with xinit on an AIX PS2 (X11). More info. The AIX X11 diskettes have a shell script file called xinit under /X11/bin, also installed on /usr/bin, used to fire up X11. With the demos/clients came a xinit.c program. I had xwindows working, but when I compiled my xinit program it replaced the xinit script that came with the distribution. To recover this file I have to re-install, and I have been working and customizing for a few days now. I would rather : a) Somebody mail me a copy of the original xinit command file/shell script. I just don't want to go thru the work of re-installing the package and all upgrades just to get a single file. b) Somebody tell me what is wrong with xinit.c that gives the error "Cannot open /dev/tty to query device id" in AIX. /dev/tty is a file with mode crw-rw-rw- .
