I would welcome any information at all about GCC for the Acorn Risc
Machine (ARM)---concerning completed ports, attempts in progress, and
especially attempts abandoned because of special difficulties.

Why?  I am posting on behalf of a CS student here who is proposing to
port GCC to Riscix (Acorn's Unix) as a final year project.  If there's
anything he ought to know, please reply to me, or directly to
