It was part of the Southbank Series. Anyway, it consisted of an interesting hodge-podge of music, primarily British twentieth century neo-classical composers. When it came to B and Russell only mentioned the Beatles and Benjamin Britten, I was disappointed, although not surprised, that he had not mentioned Kate. At this point, I half-tuned out the show and read the paper. At the letter F, his topic was "Female Composers". He first listed a woman identified with the sufferage movement whose name escapes me. However, much to my surprise, he then listed Kate -- and there she was performing "WOW" ! A great lead-in to this week's epic event.
