L-2 BRIEFING STATEMENT


As of the conclusion of the shuttle mission management Team L-2
day review this afternoon, shuttle program officials are 
continuing work toward a Tuesday, Oct. 17, launch of Atlantis
on its mission to deploy Galileo to Jupiter.

The team will reconvene tomorrow morning for another review of STS-34
readiness.
