	Mary Shafer called this morning to say that she'd expect
	some response to her instrumentation postings, and that
	the NASA folks expect to be off the net for perhaps a week.
	Their network access goes through Moffett, which apparently
	didn't emerge unscathed after the earthquake.

	Until they're back on the net, I can serve as a "phone net"
	gateway to Mary.  Naturally, articles to follow Part 1 will be
	delayed a bit.
