The model will include the interactions between the climate and topography (abiotic) factors with the plants and animals (biotic) factors. I have already come up against a few problems such as speciation to fill niches, and how to include the spatial interactions without having a nearly infinite amount of units. On the other hand both of these situations are important for understanding/modelling an ecosystem. So, does anyone have any advice (on the above, or other problems/solutions that you have run into doing this work). Also, can you reccommend any articles I should read about models of environments/ecosystems, etc... I am using the account of a friend. Please reply to her account, and she will pass it on to me. However, this means that I will probably not be able to reply so thank -you in advance. kristin@eeg.com Mark E. Levin 7520 Burton Avenue Rohnert Park, CA. 94928 (707) 795-5970 Sincerely, Mark Levin
