However I feel this group should be left to the discussion on how to create graphics, not for posting the results. I would rather see the creation of a new news group that would be used for the distribution of graphics images and the programs to view them on the more popular machines. I would also not want to limit this to a format such as GIF or TIFF, since these have their limits. Ray tracing programs and the image data files that go with them should also be appropriate source for this new group. Since the volume of such a group would likely be very high, I cannot see it existing without a moderator. This would prevent copyrighted or offensive material from getting out, and would limit the postings to less than 100K bytes (or less) a day.
