This is obvious since C++ is developed at AT&T and the distribution is probably better than in Europe. What I would like to know is: * what is the situation of C++ in Europe (especially Germany) in general? * what about the educational point of view? * are there enough good books written in german and other European languages? * are there lectures at Universities? * which companies do already use C++ for commercial products * very important: why do companies do or don't use C++? What I would like to know in general : What can be the reason that C++ is not that well known over here? Any comments (also from the friends overseas) are welcome.
