I have been silent on this topic about as long as I can stand.

I find the concise format to be entirely non-intuitive and vitually
useless in terms of any of my serious mail-using clients.  They would
never be able to cope with it in day-to-day life.  

It might have some kind of use in tables that are never seen by humans.
