Lines: 15 I'm trying to run ZMODEM over a LAN from a VAX to a PC. The connection eats certain control characters, and I even know which ones, mostly. sz (v3.03 5-09-89) has a diagnostic facility to determine which chars can't be transmitted, but apparently no way [that I can find in the rather terse documentation] to cope with such a situation, e.g. by using only 7-bit chars. Attempts to transfer binary files never get beyond the first block; attempts to transfer plain text files appear to run to completion (but there seem to be other problems - I haven't checked exhaustively yet). -David West dhw@itivax.iti.org
