Box 29,Vianen, The Netherlands Lines: 26 The last patches for nethack (a GREAT game!), p05 screw up the graphics characters on unix systems. If the meta character is used from the NETHACKOPTIONS=graphics: \mq etc. the character that is actually printed is not the one that is wanted. The problem can be solved (very quick & dirty) by commenting out the second define of g_putch in pri.c. The ifdefs there think we are using the ibm charset :-(. I hope this helps other unix players, and that it is fixed in a more solid way in patch p06. Keep up the good work guys. PS. Is there a 'standard' overlay structure known of nethack? I would like to compile ALL options in on msdos using plink86 to manage overlays. At the moment I think there could be too much cross-calling between modules to do this eficiently (read without waiting 2 minutes each time you hit a key). also if I compile spells in on msdos the game seems to hang after the more prompt of spellbook reading. -- The mail| AAA DDDD It's not the kill, but the thrill of the chase. demon...| AA AAvv vvDD DD Ketchup is a vegetable. hits!.@&| AAAAAAAvv vvDD DD {nixbur|nixtor}!adalen.via --more--| AAA AAAvvvDDDDDD Andre van Dalen, uunet!hp4nl!targon!andre
