That's not a very good feature :-( In the future, when we have A2500s with A2386s (maybe 2000s with A2088T) it may be nice to use the internal floppy as a 1.44 meg B: drive. I don't think the current 880k (720) will do this, so it needs replacement. Then this drive should work like an old 880k drive *and* offer a 1.44 (maybe: 1760k :-) mode. Now you can use some hardware switch to enable the Bridge to use it (after PC-Hard). But you will also be able to read/write 1.44 from AmigaDOS, using programs like CrossDOS. The floppy controller needs to support all these nice things. It may be a short time before ECS/1.4 comes out, but maybe it can be done. SuperDrive ?!?
