Back when Magnavox was making the 1084, I got the equivalent monitor (maybe an extra feature or 2) with the magnavox name plate for about $30 less and it came with a 2 year warrantee instead of commodore's 90 days. Both monitors were priced at the same dealer. In many markets the customers would settle for a shorter warrantee if an onsite service contract was available from commodore. It wouldn't sell well for the home market, but that sort of thing is the norm where downtime means idle employees. -don perley perley@trub.crd.ge.com
