Lines: 36 DECIDED Ok, ok, guys, I have decided to get an Amiga. I saw a few demos (like Don Bluth stuff), and a videotape on the Amiga's video processing capabilities. I was impressed, especially when you think of the in- expensiveness of the machine. Also, I met Jay Miner, "Padre". Neat guy. He, in his own way, sold me on it, too. Anyway, I am trying to decide whether I can get by with the A500, or just get the 2000. Now, before you spend my money... let me say that there's a rumor (from a Software Etc store) that Commodore will drop the list for the A500 down to about $400 just before Christmas. Enticing. A500, memory expansion to 1MB, expansion unit, MIDI, hard drive, software. Sounds like a plan. What will I effectively lose if I go with the A500 and not the A2000? I am strongly considering Music-X, and some graphics/animation package. There is just so much out there for graphics ... it tends to be confusing. Oh, yeah, I'll need a language that can hook into the Amiga op/sys for controlling the screen (for graphics) and such. Is there a C for this? Thanks. ================================================================================ | Brandon G.
