I disconnected the drive, and hooked it up to a Commodore A2090 controller, but it won't work. AmigaDOS says that the HD is "NOT A DOS DISK". Why? I assume that the controller specific information on cylinders 0-1 is different for the Trumpcard and the A2090. Is there any way to have the A2090 re-write the information it needs to those cylinders without reformatting the entire disk? I tried the HDPrep routine, but it said it would erase all of the files. I assume that the mountlist entry will not change (is this faultly logic?). Has anyone ever moved a HD from one controller to another? What else can I try? Second, does anyone have any experience with the Adaptec ESDI->SCSI converter? I need to get an 380 Mb ESDI drive to work with the Amiga. The problem is that most SCSI controllers on the Amiga require 512 byte blocks. The drive has 256 byte HARD sectors. Is there any way to get the Adaptec to convert the 256 byte physical sectors to 512 byte logical blocks? Has anyone ever even used the Adaptec ESDI->SCSI converter? Thanks for any help or experiences. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Stephen Holmstead ...!hplabs!hpdmlge!stephen // Hewlett Packard Disk Memory Division \X/ Amiga Forever!
