Keywords: BabyAT, Power, keyboard, mebbe Message-ID: <690@godot.psc.edu> Date: 30 Oct 89 15:51:22 GMT Organization: Pittsburgh Supercomputing Center Lines: 22 I got a hardrive last week, and needed a case and power supply, so I went to a local PC-clone shop, and picked up a "BabyAT" case and 200W power supply. After installing the hardrive (a full height 5.25"), and having an empty space, in the "drive-bay", I wondered if the A500 motherboard, etc. would fit? The answer is "No, not with an PC-type power supply." The A500 motherboard is large, especially with the A501 RAM/clock. It will take up all of the floor space inside the case, including the area where the pc-power supply would go... After I get my SCSI controller, and 1.3roms installed in my A500, and running, I'll consider trying to install everything in the BabyAT case, with a different power supply scheme. Right now I'll keep my eyes open for a clone keyboard, that has the same case cutout as the A500 keyboard. P.S. When I opened up my A500's RFI shield to look at what the 1.3 rom upgrade entailed, I saw that my cpu has "ST" stamped on it. Is this a new VIRUS?? :-) :-) :-) -Ed Berger eberger@b.psc.edu
