I believe the "Amiga programmer" in question is Todor Fay, who wrote Soundscape for Mimetics. I though Soundscape had a lot of potential, but never really lived up to it. Bars and Pipes might be good, or it might not, but I intend to approach it with a certain amount of caution (even more than usual).
