Ramanath, namely that upon exiting emacs the window it was in became unusable. I have found that by using the vt100 terminal emulator, I can get around this problem. Before calling up emacs, typing 'vt100' invokes the emulator-- emacs can then be run and exited normally. Ctrl-D exits from the emulator. --Van (van@psych.stanford.edu)
