Message-ID: <985@mountn.dec.com> Date: 22 Oct 89 17:09:11 GMT Sender: news@mountn.dec.com Organization: Digital Equipment Corporation Lines: 31 I run into what I believe is a bug in Appleworks V3.0 The problem is that it occurs in something so basic with the report generator in the data base that it casues me to question whether or not its a bug. Anyway here it is: I created a simple data dase and am trying to print a report with a calculated column. I started out complicated and worked back to simple. What I wanted was a column whose value was: (B*D)-(C*D) SIMPLE RIGHT? well all I got for the column when I printed it out was #######. the column was plenty wide. Now lets get simple! B*D WORKS GREAT! (B*D) PROBLEM! GET ####### I even tried the example in the manual on page 9-16 (the only place they talked about calculated catagories!) with the same results. Is this a BUG or a feature :-) /chris ============================================================================= | Chris Shatara | Internet: shatara@memit.dec.com | | | shatara@memit.enet.dec.com | | Opinions expressed are | DEC Easynet: memit::shatara | | mine and mine only! | UUCP: ...!decwrl!memit!shatara | =============================================================================
