I think that this "discussion" has degraded to the point of being simply ranting and raving and lots of hand waving and finger flipping. The facts are: some of us don't feel that our computing needs require a more up to date computer; some of us feel that everyone should have the latest model. This is like a lot of other issues, say abortion, for instance. Either side is going to be hard pressed to convince the other that it is wrong. I propose that we drop this discussion and go onto more informative postings from people who have knowledge about 8-bits and are willing to share it with people who want to use their computers better.
