I will be using it mostly for MIDI; I want to put patches from my collection of synthesizers into ST format. Basically, I want to write a simple Sysex load program that will allow me to distribute patches on disk to anybody that has an ST (and the appropriate synth of course). So I have a few questions for all you ST/MIDI experts: o What is the minimum (ie least expensive) ST configuration that will allow me to be (disk-wise) compatible with the most ST systems ? Can you quote some typical prices (mail order or retail) ? o Will I also need a single-sided floppy drive to be fully compatible with everybody else ? o Can I use a standard composite input monochrome monitor with the ST ? o Can I do a sysex load/dump in BASIC (which I assume comes with the machine), or will I have to buy a C compiler ? o Anybody got a used one they want to get rid of ? Thanks, MarTan 'r' probably won't work.
