   My modem (a Total Telecommunications -- remember those ?) just died,
and I was thinking of getting a 1670, which I believed was basically
compatible with everything the 1650/Total Telecom modems were compatible
with, except the 1670 also has 1200 baud.

   Problem is, I can't find the 1670 around anywhere, but I've seen ads for
a Commodore Modem/1200.  How compatible is this thing with the old 1670 ?
Or is this just the same thing with a different name ?
