I can tell you about an editor - HP has recently released a full-screen
editor called HPEDIT. Contact your local HP sales rep for more info.

For other utilities, try laying your hands on the Interex contributed s/w
tape(s). Interex can be reached at:

P.S. The micro 3000 GX chip set *is* proprietary.
