  I have been using MS Word for ~4 years and it is great.  I have done several
  long (50+ page) documents and it is great.  The formatting is quite simple
  especially with the style sheets.  But I would recommend that you try both
  before buying.  They are both excellent products.  

  PS. IMO, the interface to laser printers :) is better with MS Word.
