I didn't even mind seeing the announcement a 2nd and 3rd time. What I think WAS uncalled for is all the msgs arguing about whether his posting was proper or not. All those opposing Norman's post have collectively generated far more noise on the net than his one msg, which I think was FAR more valuable to read than all this follow-up noise.
