The users of these labs are primarily students, and the popularity of the Mac here has grown so that there are often long waiting lists for the (relatively) few Macs that are available. Most of the users are doing word processing, so they do a lot of printing to our ImageWriters. Since the ImageWriters weren't really designed for such "industrial-strength" use, we're starting to see a lot of printer breakdowns. My question is this: Are there any alternatives to the ImageWriter that would be better suited to our environment? Requirements include localtalk capabilities, compatibility with the ImageWriter (as far as font/graphic features), and durability. Please respond as soon as possible. This has become a very hot topic. Thanks in advance. -- Don Rainwater, Univ. of Cincinnati Computer Center rainwatr@ucunix.san.uc.edu rainwatr@ucbeh.san.uc.edu rainwatr@ucbeh.bitnet
