If you have any extras lying around, I would love to take them off your hands: 1) to hook an Imagewriter I to an SE. The SE printer port requires the round, mini-8 type jack. The Imagewriter port is the 25-pin variety, female, requiring a 25-pin type male connector on the cable. 2) to hook a Hayes modem to the same SE. The specs are exactly the same: mini-8 at the SE end for plugging into the modem port, and a male 25-pin connector at the other end for plugging into the Hayes (female) 25-pin port. Both the modem and the printer are on loan, so I would prefer to avoid paying for brand new cables if I can help it. But are these cables so versatile that I would probably be able to use them with any other printers or modems in the future; in other words, might it be worth the investment if I can't find any used? Thanks for any help, Betsey Crockett Shay bcs@rti.rti.org
