I am not too sure if this is the right newsgroup to post this, but no one has
been able to answer to my query yet.

My problem is really simple:

- How do I detect Carrier/lack thereof?
- How do I detect Presence/absence of modem (i.e. is it on or off?)

That's all I need folks!  Please help me hack this one down!!!
