This meant that the machine would hang untill it found it's remote file systems. There is also a parameter that says whether or not you can interrupt the NFS mounts. You probably want soft (if supported) interruptable mounts. As for Yellow Pages. Your machine may be out looking for its YP server. I think you can boot the machine in verbose mode and see where it hangs in the boot up script. This is done by telling the boot rom you want to boot in verbose mode. On my machine, when at home, I have an ideal ethernet on the back (1 T connector and two terminators) but it should not be needed. PS This was posted after hours and is soley the work of joe freeman.
