A while back we got "an offer we couldn't refuse" (at least I hope so) to convert our shabby 3/280 into a gleaming 3/480. We paid our money and got in line to get a new CPU board (I think that's how they're dealing with it). Now for my questions which you Sun-Gods out there may feel free to answer in excruciating detail: . What *exactly* is the performance advantage b/w the the 3/480 and the 3/280 ? . The 3/80s we have run *just* as fast as the 3/60s (i.e. absolutely no performance increase) Will this also be the case for 3/480s as compared to 3/280s ? . Has anyone in TV-land actually gone through an upgrade ? If so what was your experience ? . Lastly, what is involved OS software wise (i.e. upgrade tape etc.) in going from a 3/280 -> 3/480 ? Is there going to be a lot of software rearranging ? Thanks a lot for your help! Farooq Butt fmbutt@cloud9.UUCP
