I couldn't quite believe my eyes when I read someone actually mention the model III. Therefore, I think that you are the correct person to ask. Do you have _any_ idea where I can get decent mod III disks? You see, I just recently picked up a III at a campus surplus sale the other day. A bit of hardware fiddling got the machine to boot up to ROM, but it hates disks (it is a two drive 48k model). The disks are pretty chewed up, and I'm not sure if it is my drives of the disks that are bad. But TRSDOS, FORTRAN, Visicalc, and Scriptsit all absolutely refuse to load. Sometimes the machine gets caught in a loop, other times it won't recognize the disk, and still others if acts almost OK.... and then spins off into never never land. Any possible help?! Thanks, -Andrew. ("adf@watcsc.uwaterloo.edu")
