Around here, people who call it 'vye' are the secretaries, undergrads,
and VMS administrators.  The wizards call it 'vee-eye'.

HP-UX is 'hockey-pucks'.  Or 'hockey-pukes'.  The first tends to
degrade into the latter the longer you work on it.
