Does anyone know how to extract a translations table from a widget.

This is what I want to do:
Given an arbitrary widget, I want to temporarily UnInstall all of its
translations. But after a while, I want to install all the translations
back to the widget. Problem is I must find a way to extract the table
from a widget, and it appears that it is just not possible to do so.
Anyone have ideas??
