Anyway, I have another question about Motif's Scale widget. I made the Scale widget a child of Bulletin - but no matter what I do, the dimension of the Scale widget seems to be fixed at 15x100!! I twiddled around with the values XmNwidth, XmNheight, and also XmNscaleWidth and XmNscaleHeight to no avail. Whatever values I give it, including negative values, the Scale widget stubbornly refuse to obey by dimension paramenters. If however I made Scale to be a child of a top-level widget, then it resizes nicely. Any ideas?? Any one else have similar problems? I am using OSF/Motif 1.0 - the same thing happens on a Sun 3/160, a DEC station 3100 and an IBM PS/2 70. (PS: I have not tried making Scale a child of other composite widgets, coz' I don't want to spend too much time hacking it). -- C.K. Law ISS-NUS
