GNU Emacs 18.53.8 of Fri Jun  2 1989 on flash (berkeley-unix)

Whenever I'm editing in gnumacs (on flash) through a window on Sun,
and there is a broadcast message, the window completely freezes, and
the process starts gobbling cpu time like crazy. I then have to open
another window and kill the process. This has happened to another
person also recently.

A peculiarity : The window that always freezes is 730 X 830 pixels.
                Other windows are the average 730 X 570, and these do
                not freeze.

I wonder if anybody out there knows anything about this.
