Turns out that my original "problem" with GCC compiled xterm was due to a new bcopy() that we trotted out for GCC which didn't understand overlapping source/dest. This has been fixed and so has xterm.. Gahhh... So, give GCC a 100% rating on this one so far.. Sorry..
