I know that UCB and LBL were back up amazingly fast, if they were down at all, and that most or all of Barrnet stayed up. Dedicated media (such as NSFnet and other high-speed networks) have their advantages; you can't call home over them, but neither can anyone else :-)... -- Amanda Walker
