(a) The vote was not posted to news.groups. Just the results.
(b) The vote was conducted in such a way to split the vote. It was
    obviously "sci.aquaria" versus the world.

As a "sci.*" versus "rec.*" vote, sci loses 18-16. This is hardly
conclusive.
