I would like to propose a newsgroup for the purpose of discussing the
problems of individuals.

To give a better idea of what I am proposing, I'd like to try and create
an atmosphere similar to the one Spider Robinson creates in his
Callahan's Saloon series.  I know, this sounds absurd, but some good ideas
can originate from the most absurd places.

For those unfamiliar with the Callahan's series, the atmosphere is of a
place where you can speak of any troubles you may be having at all, and
even if the people listening don't quite understand your griefs, they will
still try to help.  This is, of course, quite idealistic.  But then again,
no one's ever accused me of blatant pessimism either.

I think that, due to the nature of the proposed group, it should be in the
talk hierarchy.

If a similar group already exists, please keep the flaming to a minimum.
