Since a lot of sysadmin stuff is pretty vendor- and/or os-specific, it tends to be found in comp.sys.whatever or comp.os.whatever. If you run UNIX, you might have a look at comp.unix.wizards. There is also the security mailing list, and I think I recall a general system administration mailing list.
