   Secretariat, the famed racehorse, was put to sleep recently at 
the age of 19, due to a degenerative hoof disease. He sired over
1000 offspring, not unlike Steve Garvey.

   In his heyday, one woman was heard to remark that he, "restored my
faith in mankind."
