Consensus among responses I received indicates that
aquaria is the proper Latin plural for aquarium ans
aquariums is the proper English plural for aquaria.

I do say I have twenty three aquariums, but if I were
writing an article for whatever media, I would say:
``Effects of fluorescent light in home aquaria'' not
aquariums.

Matter of taste, I suppose.
