Is there a relatively simple (and cheap) way to convert a composite video
signal (like the video output of a VCR) into its component parts, i.e. sync,
red, green, blue, etc. in order to drive an analog monitor like one of IBM's
PS/2 screens?  Would a device like this have to be "active" or more like
a filter/splitter?  Any help would be appriciated.
