The military's fix- an additional part to restrain slides- strikes
me as coming from the same reasoning as the M-16 bolt assist: A 
solution to which there is no known problem. But I worry about choosing
a weapon that will not handle what may be half the 9mm ammunition in
NATO inventory. They might as well have kept the .45.
 
Better yet, they should have bought the Glock :>.
