  The .Z files are compressed with the UNIX compress command, and can
be uncompressed with the same (or with uncompress). Unfortunately I'm
not aware of a P.D.  version of compress for the Amiga that can handle
16 bit compression, which is the default if the file was compressed on
a UNIX system. I have a version that does this, but it came with
A-Talk III and is probably not PD.
