If you are using VLT to transfer files with Kermit, with the host in Server mode, do not ask to "get" a file, using a wild-card name (like test*), if the file does not exist on the host machine. VLT gurus everytime. I found this when trying to download a file name test.pic1, which I thought was named test.pic. I asked to receive *.pic, got the sofware error, task held requestor (after the host replied that there was no such file), guru city. I fired up an older version of VLT, umm, V3.656.
