     Just to reemphasize my problem....

the posting that I made WRT a hard frame and Maxtor guruing upon
boot, is the problem that the damn BindDrivers gurus
the machine when it attempts to initialize the
controller/drive combination.....

its pretty hard to format or to prep the bloody drive,
when you can't even get the system up and running....

any ideas??? ( oh yeah, the CPU is made by Signetics... not
a ceramic Moto part...)
