I've got a Seagate ST4096 drive that needs to be installed in an IBM AT. I am looking for some info regarding its drive type so that I can partition and format it without using a third party's partitioning software. Is this even possible? The reason being that this AT will be running Microsoft Windows 2.11 most of the time and it would be nice to be able to use their disk caching driver Smartdrv.sys (which causes problems with partioning software such as SpeedStor). ANY help and/or pointers will be appreciated. BTW, the exact setup of the AT is as follows: 512K on the motherboard (8 mhz) 2048 expanded memory vi an Above Board ATI VIP VGA card Microsoft Mouse Thanks in advance !!
