For example, for over a year all 386's would simply hang up given certain sequences of events including 387 instructions, paging, and interrupts. I got bit by this badly - and it took months to get IBM to fix my computer. MAnufacturers don't like to fix bugs when it means replacing bad parts - especially when every single compter they have sold to date has a bad CPU! I'll bet there are still Model 80's out there with the bad chips. (Any chip without DX after the 386 is defective - not including SX's of course). Doug McDonald
