My father-in-law recently acquired a true IBM external 3-1/2"
floppy drive and would like to use it on his clone XT. I asked
several suppliers about a controller for this, and the reply 
was, "these are for external drives mounted in cases with their
own power supply".  This drive does not have a power cord, so
the power must be coming from the controller. Anyone know if 
their is an aftermarket controller that works this way?
Is IBM being *different* again?
